What is Immune Power?

Immune Power discusses different ways to create homemade remedies that are easy to prepare and based on fermentation, to support your integral health and self-care. Maybe you know the famous quote by Greek physician Hippocrates, “Let food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food” and this is what we need to have in mind. However, you know, sometimes, our minds and bodies need extra support. Through three fundamental ingredients: salt, honey and vinegar, you will learn how to prepare natural supplements with confidence, to complement your health routines in a creative and delicious way, using them as soft drinks, sauces, dressings or including them in your favorite smoothie. This course will show you a few techniques to create delicious and powerful wellness recipes, and more importantly, to create exactly what you or your family needs in terms of properties or flavors.

Meet Sole

Creator at The Fermentation School

I am Sole, returned to my Galician roots, after living and flourishing in Mexico for the last 11 years. I have a doctorate in Plant Biology, and after finishing my postdoctoral stay in Mexico, in 2015, I decided to change course and do what I had always dreamed of: bring science to kitchens, schools, communities and homes.

Since 2015 I have been coordinator of a Community Seed Library in Mexico, SOMOS Semilla, along with three women who I created our seed saving book: Cultiva-Cosecha-Comparte: Semillas Para Todos (Grow-Harvest-Share: Seeds for Everyone). And it is in 2018, when I began teaching simple living workshops, mainly aimed at women, on homemade cosmetic alchemy, home cleaning, herbalism, natural dyes, self-care and, of course, fermentation. This is how Fermentos DA MEIGA was born.

Fermentation teaches me every day about cycles, transformation, change, patience, seasons, nature, respect and love. I am very excited to have the opportunity to learn and share more in Spanish, since I believe that Spanish speakers need more and more fermentation resources and traditional knowledge, so that we can revive these ancestral practices in the present.
